The large family of Aka's House in Rumuagholu, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has celebrated the Sixteen year old farm land dispute judgement which ended in favour of Elder Bartholomew Egeonu, Elder Nyekwe Eqwun, Elder Nelson Njiowhor families.
Addressing our reporter shortly after the judgement on Friday the 14th day of October, 2016, Bartholomew said that the matter started since 2000 till October 14, 2016, when he got the judgement order in his favour.
He stated that he was entitled to the statutory right of occupancy over the plots ofland known, and called Ohia Eli-iji farm land Ekwu Okwukwo Etereta, Ohia Onunwo and Ekwu Agba originally belonging to Amadi Aka which is situated, and lying at Rumuagholu community in Obio/Akpor Local government Area as shown in the survey plans D3 to D6.
According to the judgement, the Claimant is restrained in perpetuity either by himself or his servants, agents or privies howsoever from further acts of trespass on the land. That 419ers are also advised to keep odd Eli Kpokwuodu community in Rukpoku all in Obio/Akpor.
However, Elder Bartholomew Egeonu who was full of joy maintained that, the court is the last hope of the poor masses and a place where the truth is told and justice prevailed, stressing that his victory is dedicated to God and the Aka's family in general.
